The Manager will also oversee the financial resources to ensure accounting functions are performed accordance with company policy and local laws and regulations.**Responsibilities**:- Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.- Approve and sign off on financial statements, ensuring they meet internal and external audit requirements.- Identify and maintain financial management controls and processes to ensure adherence to corporate by-laws and assist internal clients in achieving their financial goals and objectives.- Manage accounts payable and receivable.- Prepare financial and operating budgets.- Prepare monthly variance analysis, plus supporting narrative.- Prepare business cases and other financial documents.- Manage contracts, deadlines, renewals.- Coordinate banking and financial transfers.- Manage cash flow, inflows and outflows.- Ensure the company meets local taxation regulations including employee taxation requirements.- Compile VAT/WHT returns and refunds where applicable.- Ensure local bookkeeping is in line with local regulations and financial statement preparations.- Verify, monitor and pay commissions to travel agencies.- Support employee payroll in Mexico and execute payments including taxes.- Seek cost efficiencies- With support from HDQ tax team, coordinate with local tax firm for corporate income tax filing.- Lead and supervise a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to ensure high standards of work and professional development.- Other duties as assigned**Qualifications**- University degree in a relevant field of study (finance, accounting, business, commerce).- Sound knowledge of accounting standards and financial processes, and financial analysis techniques.- Extensive knowledge and skills required to complete local tax filing.- Demonstrated communication, analytical, negotiation, and project management skills.- Full proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).- High integrity, professionalism with strong work ethic.- Entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to innovate.**Conditions of Employment**:**Linguistic Requirements**Fluent in English & Spanish language, oral and written.
