The Cloud Security Engineer designs, deploys, and operates a secure cloud infrastructure that aligns with business goals. This advanced role supports innovation by enabling secure, scalable, and resilient cloud applications. The engineer applies deep technical expertise in cloud architecture, security operations, and automation to protect systems and data across SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS environments. Responsibilities include policy design, threat assessment, and incident response, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure security is embedded in every layer of the cloud stack. Strong communication, adaptability, and hands-on experience with cloud platforms and security tools are essential. This job requires on-site work at a Mary Kay facility. Design and maintain secure, resilient cloud infrastructure in collaboration with architects and engineers. Secure applications and environments across AWS, Azure, GCP and OCI. AWS preferred. Ensure compliance with privacy, security, and business continuity standards. Develop and maintain security-focused automation scripts (e.g., Python, PowerShell or Bash) for security workflows. Administer and monitor cloud security configurations to reduce enterprise risk. Implement strong identity and access controls across cloud platforms. Participate in technical meetings to advise on secure application and infrastructure design. Continuously assess emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures. Lead remediation efforts following security assessments or incidents. Document and enforce security improvements that balance risk and business needs. Oversee third-party cloud vendors to ensure they meet security requirements; elevate risks as needed. Stay current on regulatory and industry security changes and apply them across business units. Support incident response efforts with detailed tracking, documentation, and collaboration. Engage in change and project management processes to ensure security is integrated from the start. Ability to document security processes and train teams on secure practices. Skills and Experience 1–3+ years of hands‑on experience in cybersecurity, with exposure to AWS, Azure, GCP or OCI. Strong support skills in both Linux and Windows environments. Experience with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM); Wiz preferred. Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Familiar with DevOps tools like Git, Azure DevOps, and Salt. Knowledge of cloud networking and operations. Familiarity with encryption and networking protocols (VPNs, IPsec, SSL/TLS, LDAP, PKI). Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with cloud‑native monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudTrail, CloudWatch or Datadog. Understanding of regulatory frameworks such as PCI, GDPR, and standards like ISO 27001, ITIL, or NIST. Up‑to‑date knowledge of incident response, system hardening, and vulnerability management. Demonstrated integrity, adaptability, and strong communication skills. Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, MIS, or a related field—or equivalent hands‑on industry experience. Staying current with threat intelligence and evolving attack vectors. Certification Requirements Holds or is actively pursuing certifications such as CCSP, CISSP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or other AWS certifications. #J-18808-Ljbffr
