Job Title: OTA Validation / Test Automation Engineer Company: Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group Location: United States Job Description We are seeking an experienced OTA Validation / Test Automation Engineer to ensure robust and reliable over-the-air software upgrades and downgrades for automotive systems. Responsibilities & Qualifications Good experience in OTA SW upgrade / downgrade and creating software updates for over-the-air deployment. Experience with ECU flashing, vehicle software updates via OTA, wire flashing, and/or USB for fleet updates. Performing stress, functional, feature, and core hotfix testing for various modules within targeted time frames. Validation of OTA updates for components such as 3G/4G TCUs, NAVI, and HMI modules. Developing test strategies, plans, and executing cycles using Jira. Capturing MLT logs and identifying root causes of OTA issues. Experience with HIL validation platforms like dSPACE and in-vehicle automation testing, using tools such as Vector CANoe and CANalyzer. Proficiency in issue management, defect management, and version control tools (Jira, GitHub, SVN). Collaboration with suppliers and stakeholders to resolve open issues. Coordination with Product Owners and Feature Owners to understand business requirements and feature functionality. Conducting defect status and review meetings with stakeholders, including cloud, mobile app, TCU, BCM, and suppliers. Knowledge of UDS protocol and verification of diagnostics over CAN, DOIP, CAN, and LIN protocols. Experience with CAN flash using DET tool, analyzing logs with CANoe/CANalyzer, and recovering partially-bricked modules in-vehicle. Understanding of ECU testing, CAPL scripting, and related tools is an advantage. Support DevOps team in developing Python scripts for CI/CD and validating them.
