Manufacturing Engineer ICompany: Protective Industrial ProductsLocation: Tijuana**JOB SUMMARY**Reporting directly to our Engineering Manager and working out of our Tijuan site, early-career professional responsible for supporting and improving manufacturing processes. They assist in troubleshooting equipment, analyzing production data, and implementing processes and improvements on existing ones to ensure products are made safely, efficiently, and with consistent quality. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, they help bridge the gap between design and production, provide technical support to operators, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**- Assist in developing, documenting, and improving manufacturing processes.- Monitor production lines to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, or quality issues.- Suggest and implement small process improvements under supervision.- Establish quality checks and ensure compliance with industry standards. Work with design engineers, quality engineers, and supply chain teams to ensure manufacturability of products.- Participate in cross-functional meetings to support new product introductions- Identified and prioritized the projects that will be developed and implemented for process improvements.**CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS**- ** Root cause analysis and troubleshooting**:- ** Process optimization and continuous improvement mindset**:- ** Ability to collect, interpret, and report production data**:- ** Strong attention to detail to identify inefficiencies and quality issues**- ** Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA)**- ** Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.)**:- ** Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA)**:- ** Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles**:- ** Data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, or similar)**:- ** Knowledge of quality systems (ISO, GMP, or industry-specific standards)****EDUCATION**:Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field****Protective Industrial Products (PIP) is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
