Job Overview Role Purpose: In this role, you will play a critical role in optimizing the efficiency of our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for developing and managing production schedules that align with customer demand, inventory targets, and resource availability. This position requires strategic thinking, exceptional problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams, including supply chain, purchasing, and operations. Key Responsibilities Creation and management of production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing operations, aligned with customer demand and resource availability. Performance tracking and report key metrics such as OTP, PLT, order dating, and late backlog to ensure schedule attainment and achieve target goals. Capacity and scheduling management: work closely with the operations team and the planning team to align capacity plans to customer needs. Collaboration and issue resolution: collaborate with regional and global teams, purchasing, operations, and engineering teams to address supply‑demand gaps, backorders, and unexpected production changes. SAP expertise: wide experience in planning transactions to support production orders management. Process improvement: lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in production planning processes. Reporting and analysis: generate and analyze reports on production adherence, capacity, and utilization to identify opportunities for operational improvement. Cross‑regional collaboration: partner with other Corning sites and global teams to successfully meet customer requirements. Experiences/Education – Required Bachelor's degree in SC or related field (Industrial Engineering, International Business, others). 5 years supply chain experience. SAP experience. Conversational English. Experiences/Education – Desired Solid understanding of production processes, capacity planning, and inventory management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. APICS certification is a plus.
