Since the world's first modern electric car, our tech has been at the forefront, and today we're a top 100 global automotive supplier with a commanding 41% market share.About the RoleKey Responsibilities- Plan and manage the procurement of materials and components from both domestic and international suppliers- Interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings to ensure accurate purchasing- Maintain and control optimal inventory levels aligned with business goals and demand fluctuations- Collaborate closely with planning and production teams to ensure material availability, and timely order fulfillment- Monitor and develop strategies for the management of merchandise/waste, materials and obsolete supplies stored for disposal.- Direct material availability (allocation) to production scheduling teams to recognize build/ship dates for orders to stores- Lead the component elimination process and manage inventory transitions- Update and manage purchasing data within the ERP system, including stock levels and lead times- Support RMA processing, price variance tracking, and resolution of import/logistics issues- Track and manage backlog of freight lost cost and delays from suppliers- Coordinate trade reviews with vendors and communicate packaging, delivery, and requirement changes- Work with engineering and quality teams to resolve non-conformance issues, supplier discrepancies, and material substitutions- Maintain policies and propose strategies that support company objectives and operational improvements**Qualifications**:- Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, planning, or supply chain management- Fluent English (spoken and written) is required- Proven ability to work with & understand engineering drawings and technical documentation- Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical components and BOM structures- Hands-on experience working with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, etc.)- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills- Experience with international purchasing, logistics coordination, and vendor negotiations- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with teams including engineering, quality, and operations- Background in manufacturing or technical product environments preferred
