Mexico's Environmental Assurance and Protection (EAP) team is seeking a Multi‑Site Environmental Manager (MSEM) to support our Fulfillment Centers (FC's) and AMZL Operations across the Mexico Metro region. This role supports multiple sites. As the MSEM, you will develop standards and policies to support regulatory compliance and partner with operations leadership teams for the execution of these standards and policies, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations. The MSEM will be site‑based and have direct reports at selected FC sites. You are expected to visit assigned sites (10+) in your region once per quarter. The role requires more than 50% travel. Key Job Responsibilities Manage and execute multi‑site responsibilities to comply with stormwater, waste, wastewater, and other environmental related laws, regulations and permits, including required federal, state and local reporting. Manage and execute business conformance with Amazon EAP Management Systems policies. Develop Amazon geo‑specific operational environmental procedures by integrating with engineering, construction and operations. Lead regulatory agency interactions, permit evaluation and processing, and new process and technology introduction. Primary point of contact for environmental regulatory agencies and represent Amazon at appropriate levels with governmental agencies and throughout the company. Ensure work performed by contractors, consultants and employees is completed in accordance with regulatory requirements and Amazon standards. Monitor environmental metrics to review trends and determine where improvements are needed. Conduct thorough and accurate environmental inspections and audits for continuous improvement. Prioritize and manage multiple, technically complex assignments concurrently. Build and manage collaborative relationships with various stakeholders to ensure risks are identified early and managed appropriately. Compile and submit time‑critical reports to multiple governmental agencies. Complete thorough and accurate environmental incident investigations and associated regulatory reports, and develop appropriate corrective actions. Ensure site leadership and associates are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy. Day in the life The MSEM will complete environmental performance analysis, establish and monitor metrics, and guide the operations leadership teams in the implementation of Amazon environmental standards. You will work with internal and external partners, including government entities, contractors, consultants, design, construction, operations and other key stakeholders.
