Property and JV Fund Staff AccountantAtlas Real Estate- Remote (Looking to hire specifically in Mexico City, Querétaro and Guadalajara)DescriptionThe Staff Accountant will have varied responsibilities within the accounting department and interface closely with the Joint Venture Controller, Senior Property Accountant, Director of Acquisitions, and Property Management. The position will assist in preparing financial reporting for the company and for clients. This role reports directly to the Senior Property and JV Fund accountant position with a dotted line to the JV Controller.**Responsibilities**:- Work order processing and invoice entry- Prepare Utility billbacks to tenants- Prepare journal entries as needed- Assist property managers with tenant ledger adjustments- Communicate with clients regarding accounting questions- Assist with new client set-up in accounting system- Accounting for tenant move-outs- Prepare entries for brokerage transactions- Track and pay property taxes on behalf of company and clients- Cash and Balance Sheet account reconciliations- Assist with year-end 1099 reporting- Monitor new leases and renewals- Tracks short-term leasebacks- Assist accounts receivable with receiving tenant rent payments- Assist in the audit process and upload documentation- Implement new trial balances and chart of accounts within Appfolio- Communicates, answers questions, and provides documentation for third party vendors- Maintains and updates Depreciation, Prepaid, & Accrual schedules- Ability to expand scope of work outside the joint venture funds and assist Atlas with other outside properties- Ad-Hoc accounting and operational requests as needed**Requirements**:- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field- Experience in accounting preferred- Property accounting experience- Effective communication- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment- Commitment to continual learning and growth**Salary**:- Salary commensurate to experience: $8-10 USD/hr.- Discretionary performance-based bonusPay: $152.00 - $190.00 per hourApplication Question(s):- Are you currently located in Mexico City, Querétaro or Guadalajara?- Are you bilingual?
