While we support flexible working arrangements (home office, periodic remote work) we focus our time zones on Berlin and Mexico City and value a strong team culture with the possibility to meet up for in-person meetings and informal social gatherings.**What you will be doing**:- Prepare tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork, and reports.- Assess and research difficult tax issues to identify solutions.- Manage and maintain the company’s tax database.- Determine tax savings and recommend strategies to improve profits.- Ensure you comply with regulations by forwarding required information to federal, state, and local authorities.- Offer support and guidance during audits.- Evaluate tax regulations and suggest policies that diminish tax burden.- Keep track of industry trends and changes related to taxes.- Prepare accurate monthly and annual tax reports.What you bring to the table**What we look for**:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.- 4-5 years as a Tax Accountant or similar role.- Knowledge of MS-Excel (formulas, pivot tables, macros, etc).- Knowledge of ERP.- Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.- Knowledge of financial services tax reporting (preferred)- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, a strong desire to learn, and an ability to prioritize projects in a fast-paced company that is going through substantial growth.- Excellent analytical skills.- Eye for detail, process oriented mindset and structured approach.- Capacity to work to tight timeframes, with a natural ability to manage competing priorities and a proven ability to meet deadlines.- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.- A demonstrated ability to work independently, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment, and have fun working in a team.- Fluent in English.What do we offer?- Working in a very international team.- Flexible work environment, with home office and remote work arrangements.- Competitive Compensation.- A world-class team that helps you evolve your skills in areas you're interested in.- An opportunity to have a real impact on the financial landscape of Mexico.
