Job Description:Manufacturing Engineer Assembly Supervisor**Responsibilities**:- Develop Manufacturing process and assembly strategies.- Lead the group of MEs on their daily activities.- Work with cross-functional teams throughout the entire product lifecycle.- Interface with design engineering to review product designs for Manufacturing feasibility in General Assembly- Translate high level assembly goals & strategy into actionable design change requests.- Develop process documentation and complete PFMEA’s and Quality Control Plans- Implement Lean Manufacturing and error proofing strategies, validate load paths, tool access and ergonomics.- Assess in-house manufacturing capabilities and implement new processes and/or equipment where justifiable to expand those capabilities.- Implement and expand concepts such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, etc., to reduce manufacturing cost and increase process quality and throughput.- Collaborate with all levels of engineering in the development of new ideas; review of current documentation and implementation of changes as required.- Provide leadership to cross-functional teams and manufacturing engineers regarding manufacturing process and capability.- Directly responsible to improve overall team manufacturing engineering skills through mentoring and reviews of others work.- Provide detailed engineering fundamental reasons to executive team where required about manufacturing decisions.**Requirements**:- B.S. Degree in Engineering. Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Technology. Other degrees will be considered with appropriate experience.- 5 + years of experience in a Manufacturing Environment.- Root cause analysis for manufacturing issues.- Experience implementing lean practices.- Demonstrated team player and team leader qualities.- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.- Experience providing manufacturing solutions in a production environment.- Speak English - Business level.- Ability to influence outcomes and drive initiatives in complex environments.Optional Requirements:- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical processes.- Knowledge of Geometric Design & Tolerancing practices- Strong oral and written communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to write organized engineering documents.- Ability to understand and communicate technical content to a wide variety of stakeholders: engineers, project managers, product managers, as well as business and engineering leadership- Project management and multi-tasking ability- Proficiency in SolidWorks is desirable.- Proficiency in AutoCAD or DraftSight is desirable.- Machining understanding and experience- APQP experience and supportIf you are interested in an open position but feel you may not meet all the listed qualifications, we still encourage you to apply.Terex Overview:At Terex, we fully embrace the increasingly diverse world around us and strive to create an empowering and welcoming workplace culture.
