About the RoleThis position combines hands-on physical assistance, cognitive engagement, and daily life support. Our family is looking for someone who will treat our father with dignity, respect, and warmth, while helping him stay engaged with his family, grandchildren, and daily routines.Key Responsibilities- Assist with dressing, mobility, and walking support- Safely assist with wheelchair transfers and transportation- Accompany him to medical appointments, restaurants, and family outings- Provide medication management and ensure adherence to prescribed schedules- Help organize and track appointments, make phone calls, and coordinate logistics- Engage him in brain games and cognitive stimulation activities- Support neurological and emotional well-being through conversation and companionship- Assist with daily routines while promoting independence where possible- Maintain clear communication with family regarding observations or concernaRequired Qualifications- Male applicants only- Formal nursing or caregiving certification required- Demonstrated experience with Parkinson’s disease and/or dementia care- Excellent spoken English (must be able to hold meaningful conversations)- Strong physical ability to assist with mobility and transfers- Highly organized and dependable- Multiple professional references and referrals required- Compassionate, patient, and emotionally intelligent demeanorPreferred Qualifications- Experience in neurological or geriatric care- Experience working in private home settings- Spanish fluency is a plus, but English fluency is essentialWork Environment- Private home in Cancún- One-on-one care (no facility setting)- Family-oriented environment with regular interaction with grandchildren and relativesCompensation- Competitive and based on experience and qualifications- Details to be discussed during interviewHow to Apply- Resume/CV- Copies of certifications- At least 2-3 professional references- Brief cover note describing relevant experience with Parkinson’s and dementia care**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-timePay: $270.00 - $350.00 per hourExpected hours: 36 - 48 per weekWork Location: In person
