**Primary Responsibilities**:- Sets up, programs, and runs test lab equipment- Designs tests to ensure customer specifications are met- Provides feedback to Program Engineering, R&D Engineering, and Advanced Engineering on tests requested- Performs failure analysis on tests that do not pass test specifications- Troubleshoots lab equipment failures and help to resolve issues quickly- Prepares test reports for external and internal customers- Provides feedback on test results to external customers and be available to attend customer meetings- Works with Lab Technicians with a goal of minimizing LTR’s past due- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data results through thorough documentation processes- Must operate in a manner that reinforces, supports and is consistent with the Cooper Standard Leadership Model- Ensures 6S, housekeeping, and health & safety standards are maintained- Contracting, scheduling, and supervising tests with sub‐contracting facilities- May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description**Education and Qualifications**:- Four Year College or University Degree or equivalent- Two to four years of relevant work experience- Fabrication, blueprint reading skills, and equipment knowledge preferred- Knowledge of statistics- Strong mechanical aptitude, as well as technical and analytical problem‐solving skills- Skills or working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems- Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with others in a team environment- Good verbal and written communication skills- Strong organizational skills- Recognizes and solves typical problems that can occur in own work area without supervisory approval; evaluates and selects solutions from established alternatives- Impacts own team through the quality of the services or information provided; follows standardized procedures and practices and receives regular but moderate supervision and guidance- Exchanges information and seeks understanding- Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary
