Senior QA Engineer / QA Lead (Freelance) Engagement Type: Freelance / Independent Location: Remote (Mexico) Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (EST – USA Timezone) Contract Duration: Long-term engagement with possibility of extensions Role Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Senior QA Engineer / QA Lead (Freelance) to design, execute, and oversee quality assurance activities across multiple software projects. This role requires strong leadership, deep expertise in both manual and automated testing, and the ability to collaborate with multiple development teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. Key Responsibilities Design and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases. Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts. Perform manual and automated testing for software functionality, installation, and usability. Define, monitor, and report QA metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and open defect counts. Manage bug tracking and defect lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution. Document, analyze, and present test results and quality reports to stakeholders and management. Coordinate and prioritize testing activities for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes. Collaborate with multiple development teams across different projects. Provide technical guidance and leadership within the QA function. Ensure QA best practices and quality standards are consistently applied. Core Requirements 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance. Strong background in QA design and testing strategies. Extensive experience with manual and automated testing. Proven leadership experience in QA roles. Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills. Experience with test management and defect tracking tools. Ability to work full-time aligned with EST (USA) business hours. Comfortable working as an independent contractor / freelancer. Nice to Have Experience in the fraud detection or fraud prevention domain. Experience working on large-scale or high-availability systems. What We Offer 100% remote freelance engagement from Mexico.
