**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be**:- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across software, hardware, and system integration domains.- Contribute to the development and integration of embedded control systems, including architecture and implementation.- Guide cross-functional teams in defining system requirements and architecture strategies.- Participate in technical decision-making to ensure alignment with business and engineering goals.- Lead or support technical reviews of specifications, algorithms, and designs.- Solve advanced control system challenges using simulation and analytical methods.- Define scopes of work and manage external contractors and consultants.- Mentor engineering staff and advise on emerging technologies.Maintain technical expertise through professional development and collaboration.**Who You Are**:You are a strategic thinker and problem solver with a passion for control systems and embedded technologies. You’re comfortable making technical decisions and leading initiatives that shape product development.**For This Role, You Will Need**:- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with a focus on real-time control systems; or- M.S. with 5+ years of relevant experience; or- B.S. with 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in embedded control systems.- Minimum 5 years of experience in real-time embedded control systems, including software/hardware integration.- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and embedded development environments.- Experience with model-based development tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow).- Strong foundation in control algorithms, signal processing, and system simulation.Familiarity with microcontroller and processor families (e.g., ARM Cortex, TI DSPs, NXP).**Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart**:- Experience in ultrasonic- Experience with artificial intelligence techniques (e.g., expert systems, neural networks, fuzzy logic).- Background in digital signal processing (DSP).- Proficiency in object-oriented programming (OOP).- Demonstrated leadership in technical reviews and mentoring.Active participation in industry groups and professional development.**Our Culture & Commitment to You**:We recognize the importance of employee wellbeing and know that to do your best you must have flexible, competitive benefits plans to meet you and your family’s physical, mental, financial, and social needs.
