We assist major corporations worldwide with strategy formulation, acquisitions, organizational design and performance improvement.THE ROLEThe Manager, Accounts Payable is a supervisory role responsible for overseeing the accurate processing of invoices and payments in accordance with department policies. They provide leadership, guidance, and training to the Accounts Payable team, ensuring their full potential is reached. The manager will manage resource allocation, set performance targets, and mitigate identified risk areas. They will also actively monitor and improve workflow processes, implement changes, and gather and report on processing metrics. With their deep functional knowledge and expertise, the Manager, Accounts Payable will contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the department.Accounts Payable:- Oversee the end-to-end processing of invoices and payments, ensuring accurate recording and compliance with departmental policies and procedures- Provide leadership, guidance, and training to the Accounts Payable team, setting performance targets and fostering a cohesive and productive work environment- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements, streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency- Ensure timely and accurate resolution of escalated issues, proactively identifying and addressing challenges to minimize impact on operations- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior management to support informed decision-making and drive departmental success- Manage payment rejections and place corrective action- Review AP open items and place timely solutions**Requirements**:- Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, or finance & accounting related field- 8-10 years of experience in an SSC/GBS environment supporting financial processes and team management- Extensive managerial experience in leading Accounts Payable teams and overseeing operations- Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP 4/HANA- Proficiency in financial systems, reporting tools, and analytics software- Fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese- Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable principles and best practices, with a track record of driving process improvements- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including mentoring and coaching team members- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with stakeholders and senior management
