Our automation team work on hands-on projects that span the full spectrum - from small integration projects to Main Automation Contractor programs for large, multi-EPC projects.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Participate in Automation Engineering projects for the design and implementation of automation systems for oil & gas and process industry projects.- Engage in all phases of automation projects, front-end engineering through detailed design, procurement, configuration, implementation, startup, and commissioning in areas such as PLC, SCADA, DCS and/or SIS design and architecture, networking, and specification development. Development and/or support of the following typical deliverables.- Typical drawings, equipment drawings, interconnections, ground systems, single line diagram, installation, cable and wire routing etc.- Calculations of equipment power consumption and thermal dissipation.- Attend and support site surveys, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT’s), Site Acceptance Test (SAT’s) and commissioning activities for delivered systems.- Provide daily, on-site/in-field leadership, coordination and management of a multi-discipline.- team of Automation, and other engineering and technical personnel.- Supervise the Automation Commissioning Team in meeting scheduled deadlines and- ensuring the technical integrity of work performed.- Interact with EPC, Engineering, Operations, and Vendor teams for input and coordination of activities.- Review, comment, and provide input on the project schedule and project cost estimate.- Support procurement with vendors lists development, requisition development, technical bid tabulations and clarifications, purchase recommendations, monitor progress and maintain communications with vendors as required.- Travel expected to customer locations for project implementation (35%).Skills / Qualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree and license (cedula) is required, preferably in one of the following disciplines: Automation & Control, Electronics, Computers/Systems, Mechatronic, or related area.- Must have minimum of 5 years Automation experience.- Experience with an operating company, systems vendor, or engineering services provider for the onshore or offshore oil & gas and/or energy industry, is preferred.- At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in basic and detailed design and their installation and integration at client site facilities in at least two of the following.- Instrumentation, PLC/SIS Control/SCADA- CCTV, Access Control, Voice and Data Systems, and IP addressing and subnets- External (Outside) Plant Cable Network Design/Structured Cable System Design- Proficient knowledge of P&IDs and instrumentation/control equipment.- Strong background and firsthand experience with multiple systems platforms, interactions between systems, system hardware and architecture.- Preparation of DCS PLC, SCADA, TI, computer system control panel racks, advanced control and SCADA specifications and functional descriptions, test document and procedures, and related drawings/documents (Inspection Test Plans, etc.).- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office.- Demonstrated with MS Visio and AutoCAD is a plus.- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, clients, and vendors.- Proficiency in English is strongly preferred.- Valid driver’s license is required; Travel (driving a car) to/at client facilities is expected.- Must be eligible to work in Mexico.Company Overview:Diversity Statement:We are an equal opportunity employer that recognises the value of a diverse workforce.
