Quality Supervisor

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations (assembly and/or machining) which includes the quality control functions, control plan compliance,and develop a containment strategy to protect the customer. He/she should lead all quality audits (torque, functional, dock audit, etc) to support quality system.**Specific Roles & Responsibilities**:a) Oversee manufacturing floor and monitor processes to ensure quality.b) Respond to potential quality issues, and gather important critical information necessary to properly assess the situation, and make the determination if downstream customer isimpacted.c) Develop initial containment strategy for emerging issues, quarantine components/engines as necessary to stop the flow of defects to the customer.d) Work with production operations to quickly determine the dirty/clean points, and release any conforming material.e) Engage other plant resources (Resident Engineering, Supplier Quality, Plant Engineering) for Quality Control issues, to help determine the potential scope of the problemf) Work with Resident Engineering for disposition on of non-conforming material.g) Issue, request and approve process deviations as necessary and push for closure.h) Manage the activities of the 3rd part inspection at the end of line & on the outbound shipping dock. Ensure corporate standard(s) are followed.i)Attend production meetings and ensure clear communication handoffs from shift to shift.j) Ensure part cleanliness checks are completed per requirements and reactions are taken per corporate standard(s).k) Ensure EMP validations are performed per corporate standard(s).l) Issue Temporary Tolerance Waivers as appropriate when resident or product engineering is not available for approvalManage / directly supervise functional and torque auditors.a) Ensure daily audits are completed per corporate requirements for Functional Audit and Torque Auditsb) Ensure functional audit severities L10 or above have QEWO issued for correction with assigned leader.c) Ensure torque audit failures have QEWO issued for correction.Manage Quarantines / Lot Releasea) Manage quarantine follow-up through repairs, testing and release. Responsible for record management and release of Quarantines. Records of quality issue resolutions,testing/inspection activities must be documented to support the release of quarantine. Follow corporate standard(s).b) Set up short term countermeasures for nonconforming conditions found, or when the customer is at risk.c) Provide Quality documentation as required (e.g. Quality Alerts)Othera) Review control plans for frequency and is an approver on control plan documentation.b) Compile FTC/FTQ info as required (Daily, Monthly, etc)c) Maintain current and accurate data for quarantines, repairs, and teardownsd) Populate data for Heinrich pyramid, FTC/FTQ, quarantine, dock audit, functional audit, torque audit, dyno/lot release, EMP, and cleanliness data for daily plant hot sheet reportinge) Approve teardown scrap in RCA (Daily)f) Dock Audit release engines from quarantine after repair(s) are performedg) Perform QMAT's, SMAT's, EMAT's on regular, required basis (typically monthly)h)Enter sharepoint requests for FA Auditor assignmentsi) Review and approve SWI or SOP in MQAS for machining or assemblyj) RCA initial setup and maintenance.k) Record in RCA any campaign or special offline repairsl) Maintain certifications for torque auditors, FA auditors, and elsewhere as required.Manage hourly Bargaining Unit (BU) process auditors - technical WCMa) Perform daily process audits for machining and assembly based on corporate requirements, KPI's, control plans, and plant performance.b) Ensure operations repair activities at each line are followedc) Validate blue dot reintroduction components are acceptable for use Titulo nível licenciaturaInglés avanzadoOur benefits reflects the FCA commitment to helping you reach your personal and professional goals.
