System Engineer

**_ OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE _**- As an DD&T RIM Archival Engineer, you will support the Global General Council (GGC) Record and Information Management operations through collaboration with different Data, Digital, and Technology (DD&T) functions including Enterprise Architecture, Foundational Technology Platforms, and Enterprise Data and Analytics to ensure the integrity, maintenance, and management of content archival systems and data classification initiatives.- The DD&T RIM Archival Engineer will act as a Subject Matter Expert has advanced technical knowledge of core Records and Information Management archival systems and is responsible for supporting the daily systems operations and administration for those systems and infrastructure.- You will support record (unstructured data) archival: data classification, record retention, record ingestion, record(s) retrieval and data transfer initiatives. Respond to both standard and non-standard requests, Participate in architectural design, development, customization, and integration of solutions related to Records and Information Management archival systems. Collaborate with DD&T colleagues and Business Unit/Business Functions to provide data migration, transformation and ingestion solutions for record archival, data classification, and retrieval.**_ ACCOUNTABILITIES_**- Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues that arise during testing and in production.- Perform installations and upgrades while maintaining them in accordance with established policies and procedures.- Serve as point of contact for question and escalations related to Records and Information Management archival system.- Lead the design of unstrucuted data migration and ingestion of business records into the company’s archival system, ensuring system scalability, security, performance, and reliability.- Support standardization, customization and ad-hoc data analysis, and develop the mechanisms to ingest, analyze, validate, normalize and clean data.- Define data requirements, gather and organize unstructured data for data archival including manifest file, and validate data.- Work with business stakeholders to gather business requirements for data retention, security and retrieval needs.- Lead the creation, design and testing of data migration and ingestion activities.- Support secure data transfers for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures packaging data, generating manifest files, and maintaining audit trails.- Develop documentation for training, software use, user procedures, and as-required project deliverables.**_ DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS _****Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise**- Administer electronic records management system (MicroFocus Content Manager), create file plans, and prepare batches of records for ingestion into Records and Information Management archival system.- Design and execute data mapping, data cleansing, and data migration processes.- Lead the ingestion or migration of data from legacy systems to Records and Information Management archival system.- Develop deep technical expertise in data movement patterns, practices, and tools.- Oversee the delivery of design specifications, source to target mapping documents, and unit testing documents.**Leadership**- Strong business acumen with knowledge of health care and retail operations.- Solid collaborating skills in a multinational environment, embracing a culture of agility, performance and value in innovation- Experience working in a matrix organization is desired**Decision-making and Autonomy**- Proven track record of making the right decision to resolve issues and obstacles.- Self-motivated and self-directed in driving results and deliverables.**Interaction**- Demonstrated success in working in a matrix organization and collaborating with different DD&T functions, contractors, and constituents to deliver technical solutions that meet Takeda technology standards and security measures.- Manage multiple tasks & assignments as a role model to team members with effective communication skills and stakeholder management.**Innovation**- Contributes to future improvement of software delivery processes and operations.- Enable Records and Information Management, data stewards and end users to leverage Takeda data to develop advanced reporting, data and analytic solution.**Complexity**- Supporting the GGC Record and Information Management Function.- High multicultural sensitivity in order to be effective.- Ability to drive the team for results through remote collaboration.- Leading a Trust based relationship with Business and DD&T stakeholders- Knowledge of health care and retail operations (preferred).**_ EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:_****Essential**:- Bachelors’ Degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent and confirmed relevant working experience.- 5+ years hands-on experience in leading data migrations
