Job Description:

Partners with the businesses to ensure that the capital strategies are operationally supported and strategically focused to secure the greatest return on investment for the global company. Gathers financial data and performs financial analyses and reporting (e.g., profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow, pricing, etc.) to influence decisions within the business and to drive cross-business initiatives. Drives the forecasting process (weekly, monthly, and long term) by analyzing trends within the businesses and ensuring alignment with business- and corporate-wide objectives. Communicates and drives adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the organization's financial goals and policies. Has the fiduciary responsibility to represent financial results correctly both internally and externally. Ensures strong business controls.

The North American FP&A team is responsible for submitting flash, Long-Term Planning and actuals for North America. The team works cross-functionally with WW Finance, North America Segments and North America Business Unit teams. The team provides high level analysis and support for North America and ensures data accuracy and quality for all submissions to HPE leadership.

Leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives. May participate in cross-division, multi-function teams. Provides mentoring and guidance to lower level employees. Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives. Develops strategy and sets functional policy and direction. Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function.

How you’ll make your mark:

  • Provides the most complex financial analysis for a financial function or a business, typically exercising a unique understanding of the business to determine the best method for achieving objectives.
  • Consults with business leaders to guide and influence long- term and strategic decision-making within the broadest scope.
  • Forecasts financial results within the broadest scope.
  • Leads and advises on the most complex business initiatives, typically leading several analysts across multiple areas within finance and across geographies/organizations.
  • Drives process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function globally.
  • Represents the business unit during cross-regional or cross-functional planning processes.
  • Provides mentoring and guidance to analysts.
  • Drives improvement of templates for flash and Long-Term Planning focused on user friendliness, efficiency and accuracy.
  • Leads Long-Term Planning communication and loads for North America.

About you:

  • First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) strongly preferred.
  • Typically 10+ years of experience as a financial analyst.
  • Typically experienced in a variety of finance functions.
  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
