**What your background should look like**:Day-to-day responsibilities and scope of roleBe the engineering consultant on a range of development, design and sustaining Engineering projects, internally and externallyTranslate customer requirements into technical diagrams and provide quote/proposals to customer requestKnowledge of cable and cable assembly product design for customizationKnowledge of industrial low-Med voltage cables, data cables and category cable, etc.Knowledge of Industrial connectors of TE and its competitionSupport he Wire and Cable New Product Development and Sustaining Teams to ensure product conforms to customer requirementsWork closely with suppliers and Product Development engineers for connector and bulk cableWork closely with product management, sales and Product Information Center (PIC) teams on cable and cable assembly inquiriesWork with Operations and Supply Chain to bring new cable assembly product to marketSupport product training as requiredTechnical report writingSupport to quality department regarding customer complaintsRequest deviations to customer for products acceptanceKnowledge ECR/ECN processCoordinate engineering changes from customer request with multidisciplinary teamTop skill setsStrong communication skillsSelf-motivated with effective problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong design skillsAbility to proactively drive projects with mínimal guidance or supervisionAbility and willingness to provide input on technical solutions both product and manufacturing relatedAbility to work with multicultural engineering teamsKnowledge of basic quality trouble shooting techniquesKnowledge of LEAN principlesExperienced in using Microsoft Office Tools.Use of 3D (Creo) CAD software preferredKnowledge of IPCBasic understanding of SAP softwarePreferred certifications, education, and years of experienceMinimum 3 years post university experienceFluent in spoken and written EnglishEducation Background: Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanical EngineeringCable Assembly Experience a plusTE systems experienceExperience with manufacturing processes a plus**Competencies**:- Values: Integrity, Accountability, Teamwork, Innovation
