This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial information and assists with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and process improvement.**Key Responsibilities****1. Financial Reporting**- Assist in the preparation of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and management requirements.**2. Accounting Management**- Oversee daily accounting operations, including journal entries and account reconciliations.- Maintain general ledger integrity.**3. Internal Controls**- Support the design and implementation of internal control procedures.- Ensure safeguarding of company assets and regulatory compliance.**4. Budgeting and Forecasting**- Collaborate in the development and monitoring of annual budgets and forecasts.- Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.**5. Compliance**- Ensure adherence to accounting principles, legal regulations, and internal policies.**6. Audit Support**- Provide support during internal and external audits.- Prepare documentation and respond to auditor inquiries.**7. Financial Analysis**- Conduct analysis of financial data and trends.- Provide insights and recommendations to management.**8. Process Improvement**- Identify opportunities to optimize accounting processes.- Implement efficiency-enhancing initiatives.**9. Team Supervision**- Supervise junior accounting staff in areas such as AP, AR, and general accounting (if applicable).**10. Cross-Departmental Communication**- Communicate financial information clearly to management and other departments.**Key Skills and Competencies**- **Accounting Expertise**: Strong understanding of GAAP and financial procedures.- **Analytical Thinking**: Ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights.- **Communication**: Strong written and verbal communication skills.- **Organization**: Capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.- **Detail-Oriented**: High accuracy in financial reporting and documentation.- **Technical Proficiency**: Experience with accounting systems and financial software.- **Team Collaboration**: Ability to work well in team environments and support others.- **Problem-Solving**: Skill in identifying financial discrepancies and implementing solutions.**Education and Experience**- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).- Master’s degree or MBA focusing on Accounting (preferred).- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.- CPA certification (preferred or required depending on employer).- Bilingual English / Spanish**We are committed to the safety and health of our employees.
