Preproduction build support and issue resolution, including pre-production Bill Of MaterialsRepresentative in Continuous Process Improvement TeamInitiate, track and respond to Change Requests & Decision NoticesResolve issues across PIT's and Assembly PlantsEngineering Work Order follow-upLaunch support in the plant, including material shortage and support spills/crisisProblem Resolution Tracking System/Issue Resolution prioritization and follow upSpecification interface to insure accuracy for pre production and productionsPlant Tryout and Production Trial Run supportBill Of Material tool maintenance - insure accurate content and approval of changesValidation plan development property supportSpecial projectsAssists in regulation and compliance monitoringCost reduction and Generate Technical solutions for current, new and major programsAssists in developing some engineering designs, including subsystemsAssists in implementing engineering changesSpecifies and balances system requirementsImplements test/development programsCommunicates, coordinates and consults with engineering departments and customersStays abreast of new technology and competitive productsMay travel to plants if neededPerforms other related duties as assigned.**Additional Job Description****JOB DESCRIPTION / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES****KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:- Execution of the BEV3 Battery Capacity Increase Program- Input to Equipment / System Design- Collaboration with the Operations Team on Program Deliverables- PFMEAs Review / Simulation Review / Control Plans / Launch Deliverables- Plant Equipment Install / Debug / Launch / Continuous Improvement- Providing technical direction to and oversight of outside vendors- Project management for the Battery Assembly Project Execution- Actively participate in the SCRUM / Agile Process to accomplish daily tasks and meet the project deliverables.- Follow standardized processes as defined in PoME for program execution.- Participate in the Launch wall meetings- Establishes equipment installation board and review weekly/daily with OEM and contractors- Supports plant floor equipment installation, tracking and countermeasures- Develop and lead the PPAP review meetings in area of responsibility utilizing the PPAP checklist, capturing exceptions.- Lead the lessons learned gathering activity and feedback the information to the central process team for BOE/BOP updates- Closure of all ME open issues for Launch Deliverables**KEY QUALIFICATIONS**- Demonstrated level of analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues.- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and complex projects with a high level of autonomy and accountability for results.- Demonstrates initiative by reaching beyond work assigned to improve output and/or help others.- High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others- High level of oral and written communication skills- ME assignments with successful individual achievements or strong team-based achievements.- Effectively deals with ambiguity and copes with change- Experience in troubleshooting equipment**EDUCATION**:- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Equivalent Experience.**About GM**Our vision is a world with Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions and Zero Congestion and we embrace the responsibility to lead the change that will make our world better, safer and more equitable for all.**Why Join Us**We aspire to be the most inclusive company in the world.
