This role is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing and evolving team, we are looking for someone who will seize an opportunity for growth in experience and responsibility.The primary purpose of this role is to add to our database of verified security incidents through accurately geocoding and tagging content related to incidents. However, the researcher will be expected to contribute to broader analytical tasks within the team, including researching future events and identifying trends in security and political events. The researcher will be primarily responsible for countries in the Americas region but will also have a role in ensuring 24/7 coverage of major security events around the world.**Responsibilities**:Incident research and database maintenance- Use a range of feeds to identify breaking major incidents around the world and rapidly add these to our database and alert our clients- Liaise with local analyst teams where required to source analysis and advice for clients.- Use a range of sources to identify and select other events that match criteria for inclusion in the database, primarily for the Americas but assisting with other locations as required- Research relevant information on these events, including locations, damage/loss estimates, affected assets and sectors- Research and add incidents for other projects as required- Support quality review to ensure accuracy of current and historic incident dataOther content- Contribute to updating or maintaining other country-specific content on security and operational risks to ensure content remains up to date- Contribute to analysis of the incident database in response to requests from internal and external clientsProduct support and development- Assist with training and informing colleagues on the methodology and process of incident selection.- Participate in product development, including improving and expanding our database and broader content- Contribute to updating methodology and process for maintaining and expanding the database and other Seerist contentRequired Qualifications:- Proven research and analysis skills, preferably in the threat and risk industry- Excellent written English- Strong understanding of political violence and security risks, and how they affect clients in a range of sectors- Comfortable with change, adapts will to new tasks or shifting demands.
