Flex is the diversified manufacturing partner of choice that helps market-leading brands design, build and deliver innovative products that improve the world.Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams, which build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Purchasing Leader located in Guadalajara, North Campus.Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Purchasing Leader is in charge of overseeing activities related to the procurement of Direct materials, parts, components, and equipment. Directs and coordinates activities consistent with delivery requirements and quality specifications.What a typical day looks like:- Prepares instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures.- Follow-up policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities.- Manage and guide a team of buyers and expeditors to meet procurement and supplier management goals.- Interface with procurement groups in updating and maintaining company procurement strategies- Implement processes with suppliers to improve on time delivery and Purchase Price Variance- Helping implementation of Vendor Managed Inventory models- Supervise the team in the management of the supply chain to achieve continuous timely supply of parts and services- Approves purchase orders and change notices through subordinates.- Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.- Ensures continuity of raw material supply to help production schedules and balances with achieving inventory level targets.- Investigates inventory levels.
