Design the layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency and safety.- Prepare RFQ’s and solicit quotations from automation suppliers. Evaluate supplier quotations to determine the best combination of technical solution, cost, and timing.- 20% - 25% Business Travel- Customer support medical sites for product introduction and ramp up support- Conduct equipment design reviews and provide design guidance to suppliers.- Ability to present information to top management.- Manage automation suppliers through all phases of projects.- Provide on-site support during machine build, debug, and testing/qualification.- Supervise installation and testing to verify requirements and specifications are met.- Draft qualification protocols and support equipment qualification activities.- Develop manufacturing solutions with the best combination of manual, semi-automation and/or full automation. Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow.- Implement cost effective automation solution.- Support new product development automation needs, facilitate assembly processes through the implementation of assembly cells and automated equipment at NPI stage and ensure meeting development timeline.- Interface with customers and functional owners on product development issues regarding automation. Conduct design-for-automation analysis and provide detailed recommendations.- Participate in design reviews and provide status reports as per established schedule.- Prepare and maintain documentation related to the operation of the automation equipment.- Impacts the long-term (annual) direction and financial or operational success of the function and/or site.- Approves and/or creates functional processes or technologies. Establishes and ensures effective achievement of functional strategic plans and objectives for the site.- Develops plans for structuring and implementing major initiatives.- Define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.- Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Here is some of what you will need (required)- Master's or MBA degree in a related field or equivalent experience.- Experience in Automation and Manufacturing engineering, including broad based project management and supervision- Expert functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.- Demonstrates detailed expertise in very complex functional/technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas; understands the strategic impact of the function across sites.Preferred skills:- Six Sigma/Lean BB expertise with experience performing CpK and G&RR on complex custom Automation and Test equip- Controls Eng and MES integration into high mix automation lines - experience with multiple Automation integrators and suppliers- Industrial Engineering expertise for theory of constraints, line designProject Management across Org- ISO13485 experience and IQ, OQ, PQ validation process hands on knowledge- High mix and High Complexity, Low and High Volume, Electronics Manufacturing expertiseWhat you’ll receive for the great work you provide:- Pantry vouchers- Saving Fund- Christmas bonus- Holiday bonus- Medical Insurance- Life InsuranceCP68Job CategoryProduction Engineering**Required Skills**:Optional Skills:
