Our Strategy & Corporate Development team

Our mission is to help Nubank develop a mid-long term business vision by providing teams with strategic advice, external perspectives and acting as business enablers for new opportunities across the organization. The Strategy & Corporate Development Team studies and supports strategic business decisions; prospects and develops new product opportunities; prospects, develops and closes strategic partnerships that contribute to our mission of fighting complexity and empowering people to take control of their finances.

As a Corporate Development Sr Consultant, you'll be expected to:

  • Identify new opportunities for the organization and consequently develop the goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics (plans) required to achieve them;
  • Collaborate with executive team members (locally and regionally) to determine and prioritize business strategies;
  • Support development, direction and delivery of strategic initiatives through content leadership, structuring expertise and ability to execute;
  • Conduct ongoing market research;
  • Lead strategic projects and initiatives that generate value and growth for the Mexican strategy;
  • Shape and execute Nubank’s growth strategy for Mexico by identifying key opportunities and developing specific goals and action plans with local and regional leaders;
  • Lead high-impact strategic projects end-to-end, from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with Nubank’s mission and priorities;
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships that align with Nubank’s objectives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution;
  • Generate market insights through ongoing research and competitive analysis, identifying trends, growth opportunities, and partnership prospects;
  • Provide structured content leadership, guiding project frameworks and supporting strategic prioritization with a clear direction for initiatives.

We are looking for a Corporate Development Sr Consultant professional who has:

  • Ability to tackle complex problems involving a number of topics/variables, such as business, regulatory, finance and product;
  • Experience developing partnerships from inception to delivery preferred but not required;
  • Ability to work and lead through influence multidisciplinary teams (product, legal, compliance, finance, marketing, IT);
  • Manage numerous initiatives and projects concurrently and strategically;
  • Ability to deliver for the short and long term, as well as flexibility to deal with changes in the process;
  • Great business judgment and ability (and interest) to make both strategic and operational decisions;
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently (must);
  • Hands-on and willing to get hands dirty on execution;
  • Great team player, communication (written and verbal) and listening skills;
  • Proficient level of English (written and verbal);
  • Solid analytical background. Must be comfortable analyzing data to make decisions;
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn;
  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field such as: Business, Engineering, Math, and Economics;
  • Strategic Problem-Solving: Strong ability to tackle complex, multi-variable challenges, especially involving business, regulatory, financial, and product considerations;
  • Analytical and Data-Driven: Proficient in data and financial analysis, with comfort in deriving actionable insights and informed decisions;
  • Communication Excellence: Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish, capable of translating complex insights for executive audiences;
  • Project Management: Proven track record managing concurrent initiatives, balancing immediate and strategic goals;
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Skilled at working with multiple teams, effectively leading through influence (e.g., product, legal, compliance, finance, marketing, eng);
  • Ownership Mentality: Takes full accountability for projects, driving them from concept to completion with a sense of responsibility and commitment;
  • Self-Motivated and Hands-On: A proactive self-starter, curious and eager to learn, who takes initiative and dives into execution with a hands-on approach;
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Thrives in a dynamic environment, showing resilience and flexibility as priorities shift in the short and long terms;
  • Team Player: A collaborative individual with excellent interpersonal skills who values diverse perspectives and team-driven success;
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as Business, Engineering, Math, or Economics; an MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred;
  • Professional Experience: Experience with strategic partnerships from inception to execution is highly valued.
