The department gathers, manages, analyzes, and distributes data on revenue by Air, Hotel, Car, and Rail suppliers. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of reconciliations, supporting documentation for invoices, payments and related activity. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of reporting activities including weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reporting, supporting the interim and annual audit preparation, accounting research and Ad-hoc tasks as requested by management. The Financial Analyst will play a key role as liaison between American Express Global Supplier Relations, Controllership, Finance, and external preferred suppliers.What You’ll DoTimely monthly preparation of GL account reconciliations.Creation of Sales Orders, Billings, Allocations, Payments for LAC Region.Internal control point monitoring and testing.Participate in monthly calls to determine the status of outstanding balancesAssist in the maintenance and ongoing development of process performance metrics.Work with senior analysts to understand, test and troubleshoot technical issues.Revenue forecast execution for multiple revenue lines.Contract interpretation and analysis, journal entry processing.Assist management in the preparation of interim and annual audit requirements.Build and maintain positive relationships with key business and finance partners.Provide scheduled deliverables in a timely manner and Ad-hoc reporting as requested.Overtime, nights, weekends and holidays may be required due to deadlines.What We’re Looking For+2 years related accounting and reconciliation experienceAccounting or Finance Bachelor’s Degree or equivalentEnglish advance level. Able to communicate clear ideas.Excellent MS Excel skills. Knowledge in Macros is a must.Experience with NetSuite preferredPower BI Tool or Tableau is a must.Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment and exhibit flexibility and the ability to work with various personalities.Doer strength, you enjoy to be productive and achieve goals.Discipline strength, you need organization, order and precision.
