At STERIS, we help our Customers create a healthier and safer world by providing innovative healthcare and life science product and service solutions around the globe.**Position Summary**:The Assembler is responsible for maintaining production of Surgical Table products to meet customer requirements.**Duties**:- Ability to assemble based on knowledge of the functions of major component parts and sub-assemblies within an assigned area.- Use and understand torque wrenches and test equipment and trouble shoot.- Maintain published productivity standards on moderately challenging assemblies by utilizing a traveler, blueprint and standard work.- Maintain high quality standards (meet the departments published quality rating).- Maintain safe work areas and practice safe work habits.**Duties - cont'd**:**Education Degree**:**Required Experience**:- Computer Skills to include Microsoft Office, and Shop Floor Control- Ability to read blueprints, knowledge of schematics- Experience using torque wrenches and test equipment and related troubleshooting.- Ability to make decisions and stay quality focused- Ability to understand and follow work instructions, both written and oral.- Ability to adapt to conditions as dictated by business requirements.- Proven teamwork experience.- Ability to work overtime, if required.**Preferred Experience**:- Prior AS400 experience preferred- Experience with hydraulics and electrical component assemblies desired.**Skills**:STERIS is a leading global provider of products and services that support patient care with an emphasis on infection prevention.
