The North America Director Manufacturing Procurement must be able to influence and form strong partnerships with operations, manufacturing, quality, and other leaders, while focusing on best practices, the creation and sustainment of operational efficiencies, and managing multiple complex and competing priorities.What we offer:Although not limited to the following, the Director will drive:- Sourcing Process- Effective Negotiation- Savings Goal Achievement- Implement Savings Programs- Ensure execution of sourcing strategy- KPI’s accountabilityOther responsibilities:- Work with Regional Category Leads to identify potential suppliers to support growth and regional needs- Develop and drive global supply base- Consolidate relevant direct material category level data- Drive Manufacturing Procurement process and policy compliance- Identify Total Cost Optimization for Direct Material- Build robust Savings funnel that is aligned with global savings targets- Collaborate with Category Lead to implement short- and long-term strategies- Drive results for team of strategic buyers of direct materials and services which may include metal fabricated parts; controls/electrical & electronic components; wires and cables; plastic parts; and mechanical components.Tasks and Qualifications:**Skills**:- Highly collaborative individual, who has proven ability to work cross functionally and build strategic/mutually beneficial relationships at all levels- Ability to change the thinking of others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship, both internally and externally- Strong knowledge on multiple commodities- A proven track record of delivering large savings and other value as team leader / manager- Demonstrates in-depth understanding of best-in-class procurement practices- Able to plan, set priorities, organize, and coordinate work with and through others.- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results- Demonstrated ability to coordinate sophisticated projects with various technical/engineering teams- Broad commercial awareness developed in a fast-moving environment- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities- Demonstrates leadership capabilities in a global environment with internal customers and suppliers.- Embraces KION Leadership Competencies for Professionals and/or Managers regarding taking responsibility, welcoming change, fostering communication, understanding our business/customers, delivering solutions, and driving results.- Understands benchmarking and cost analysis tools to deliver negotiation outcomes.- Willingness to work in a complex and highly matrixed organizational structure.- Understands standard contractual terms and conditions to mitigate legal risk.- Able to travel 30%**Education**:- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related discipline- Master of Business Administration a plus- APICS CPIM, ISM CPSM, CSCP or equivalent certification preferred- Black Belt Six Sigma training, certification a plus**Experience**:- 7+ years preferred in Material Management and Inventory control- 7+ Years of leadership/management experience in Supply Chain or Procurement- SAP experience a plus- 3+ years preferred exposure to SIOP/ IBP/ SOE/ Forecasting process- Industrial Manufacturing experience a plus- 4+ years preferred in a Direct Procurement function at a global organization with complex, global contracts- 4+ years preferred in sourcing and negotiating direct goods and services
