We are looking for a Project Buyer to join the Electronics System Purchasing team, reporting directly to the North America Electronics Purchasing Manager. This position is based at our office in Aguascalientes. As the Project Buyer at Marelli, you will be responsible for managing the procurement activities related to electronic components and systems for various projects. Sourcing and Procurement: Identify and engage with potential suppliers for electronic components and systems. Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms to achieve cost‑effective procurement solutions. Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and timely delivery of products. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues that arise. Project Coordination: Collaborate with project teams to understand electronic requirements and ensure timely procurement to support project timelines. Cost Management: Analyze cost breakdown and identify cost‑saving opportunities. Work towards achieving target costs while maintaining quality standards. Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies. Address and resolve any procurement‑related issues that could impact project delivery. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier agreements. Prepare and present reports on procurement status and achievements. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant experience in procurement, preferably in the automotive or electronics industry. Ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously, ensuring that all deadlines are met and that procurement aligns with project milestones. Proficiency in procurement software and tools. Understanding of electronics and electronic systems, as well as industry standards and regulations. Strong negotiation and communication skills, analytical thinking. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to address supply chain challenges and make strategic procurement decisions. Ability to work collaboratively within diverse, cross‑functional teams, including engineering, finance, quality assurance, and logistics.
