Electronic Components/Platforms are key enabling technologies for the overall digital strategy. Key electronic component technologies provide the foundational technology building blocks that enable valuable data to be gathered from machines and engines.**Job purpose**:**Job duties**:The position responsibilities include a strong focus on quality through simulation, analysis, verification, and validation testing at the component level, subsystem, and system level. Advanced troubleshooting and analysis skills are needed to resolve complex development and field issues and to improve overall performance and cost.The Electronic Components/Platforms Engineer is expected to have circuit analysis experience in order to identify and debug problems for ECM components, good communication for technical status updates, component reviews, and when working closely with other internal and external teams in multiple geographic locations and organizations. Keeping up with industry trends and new technology breakthroughs is essential and requires continuous learning through self/internet study.**Background/experience**:Requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering, Robotics, Digital systems engineering, Mechatronic, Electronic and communications or automation engineering.3-5 years of experience in embedded electronic hardware development and circuit analysisFluent English.Incumbents must have demonstrated excellent analytical skills and the ability to perform complex assignments.Requires strong technical leadership skills.Must have strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively.**All qualified individuals - Including minorities, females, and individuals with disabilities - are encouraged to apply.**Final Details:Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).Not ready to apply?
