We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of **Senior Infrastructure Engineer**Wealth & Personal Banking is a Global Function that brings together areas of financial fraud management and is dedicated to implementing the most effective global standards for use across the bank to combat financial crime.This is for a Global role working on projects in Asia, Middle East, Europe, and Americas, current install base is for 25+ countries.Role location is in Mexico, but team is geographically dispersed with other team members in India, UK and US, and regional teams located in Hong Kong and MexicoOverall department has moved to Agile/POD organization, this specific role is part of Global Fraud Core platform POD.Global Fraud Core platform POD supports the distributed SAS EFM environment on distributed platform.Build/configuration of SAS EFM (Transaction Fraud Monitoring System) environment, ensure initial setups are correct.Monitoring/support of distributed environment and enhance our capabilities in this area.*****Main Activities**:- Collaborative, team focused (willing to share information) with ability to work with others (other POD members, other PODS, ITID teams, project managers, etc)- Ability to lead and coordinate projects, tasks, and issue resolution.- Articulate, excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.- Relevant fraud, banking systems (cards, core banking, account opening, etc) experience a plus- Experience with Agile and DevOps models/projects- Relevant fraud, banking systems (cards, core banking, account opening, etc) experience a plus- Ready to support production deployment and post development implementation activities.- Follow-ups to team members and stakeholders- For production this is a 24x7 requirement when staff member is scheduled, escalate issues to appropriate SME’s (US staff, ITID, vendor as necessary)- Investigate issues to determine root cause and suggest/implement fixes- Create/maintain some knowledge “log” of issues and how to resolve- Provide support for development, UAT, environments for ongoing projects during agreed UK/US daytime hours.- Responsible for builds to agreed schedule.- Install various software packages.- Install/configure/monitor App Dynamics- Install/configure/manage Splunk.Requirements- Degree in Computer Science or IT related disciplines- Experience with writing complex business/technical analysis deliverables within the context of large-scale change initiatives- Integration experience including working with external vendors.- Ability to collaborate with team members within and outside of primary team.- Consulting experience, communication to clients, business partners, and management a plus- Experience with presentations, facilitation of meetings, etc. a plus- Organized, self-starter, highly motivated team player.- Creative "outside the box" thinker- Ability to work under pressure- Flexible and able to change priorities as necessary.- 10+ years of software development/deployment/support experience- 10+ years of distributed Unix/Linux administration/support experience- 10+ years DB2/Oracle knowledge/support experience- 5+ years working experience with IBM MQ- 5+ years knowledge and experience with networking- L3 Production Support experience including configuration, upgrades/patches, performance tuning, backup- Experience with Unix scripting/automating Unix process- Knowledge of security configurations (i.e., SSL, TLS)- Experience with SQL for DB2/Oracle- Experience with planning/supporting disaster recovery/role swap exercises- Knowledge of JAVA development with restful services a plus- Knowledge of tools such and Jira, Confluence, Visio a plusAt HSBC we offer our colleagues a greater number of leave days so that they can fully enjoy their wedding, take care of the new member of the family, or grieve the loss of a family member.
