Localization Supervisor

YOUR IMPACT:Manage the development of translation for texts in digital display vehicle components that better fit local market requirements.Lead the procurement of external services to carry out translations and localization work.Define requirements and rules for the definition of texts for the different display catalogs that meets Ergonomics, legibility and other requirements.Manage HMI documentation related to translation delivery according to Ford Program development milestones.Support Hardware and Software Prototyping of HMI concepts with translations and support associated customer clinicsSupport translations of impacted Over The Air updates.Ensure process discipline across the global organization on the Translations work streams.Lead the development of software tools to manage projects, evolve database of translations and terminologies and integrate modern tools for developers: Automated Translations tools, Translations Management Systems, Excel Macros, etc.Lead the exploration and implementation of new technologies and tools to identify areas of opportunity to reduce the time, increase the consistency and improve translations and font delivery and quality.WHAT YOU’LL NEED:- Bachelor’s degree in Translations or Design related. Preferably with User Experience and User Interface related.- Experience in translations management process. That includes hiring and management of translations agencies, management of translations tasks and quality assurance, integration of translations to product development process.- Knowledge and experience in automated translations tools. Experience in Lockalise, Trados, or similar tools. Software skills are a plus, especially Git, REST services, Databases, Visual Basic Macros and XML.- Proved skills to work in a cross-functional /global role interacting with teams in different countries and different organization.- Strong written and oral skills Spanish and English (100%) at minimum. Good level in at least one additional language.- Ability to communicate and present to high levels of management.- Project management skills, preferably Agile.- Team builder skills. Able to negotiate and propose new solutions while understanding the experience from the team.- Additional information (Unique Skills Needed or other relevant information):- Experience working with design specifications and interacting with UI and HMI teams. Experience working with Sketch, Figma, InVision or similar tools is a plus- Knowledge of Automotive features and HMI subsystems (cluster, center stack/Sync, rear displays, physical controls).
