**Position Duties**:1. Coach Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work2. Optimize throughput in accordance with budgets and cost objectives4. Through Process Confirmation, verify that the line is running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts5. Support Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) and coach problem resolution to the lowest level6. Communication and Recognition7. Build Team Leader and Team Member capability8. Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks9. Basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents10. MP&L specific11. Responsible for the daily material handling functions for the facility and for the department including but not limited to:12. Ensuring proper material flow from receiving dock, to warehouse storage location, to the production line feed location and to the delivery of finished product to the customers13. Provide direction and support in the allocation of resources appropriately in order to cover material handling responsibilities14. Support Ford Production System and synchronous material flow lean manufacturing practices15. (PTO)**Position Qualifications**:- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Operations, Transportation & Logistics, Supply Chain Management & Information Systems, Applied Engineering Science, Packaging Engineering, or Business Mgmt. preferred.- Body shop /stamping / subassembly, or manufacturing assembly and machining experience a plus- Ability to work independently with limited supervision- Capable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms safety, quality, and throughput- Ability to multi-task- Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills- Demonstrate leadership in ONE FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles- Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)
