Direct message the job poster from Fontis Energy The Director of Finance is responsible for leading the Finance team and overseeing all financial and accounting functions, including policies, controls, systems, and processes. This role ensures compliance with tax and regulatory requirements and manages both management and statutory financial reporting, as well as financial and cash flow projections. The Director is also accountable for supervising finance activities such as cash management, cash forecasting, and overseeing treasury and banking systems. Additionally, the role involves assessing financial markets and identifying solutions to any emerging issues. Ultimately, the Director’s primary goal is to steer the company toward profitability and long-term success. Job Specific Responsibilites Responsible for the management of global finance – in Mexico and overseas. Management of the finance team and the overseeing of day-to-day activities for Treasury, Accounts Payable, Accounts receivable, Cost Control, Tax, and Reporting and Consolidation. To manage and be responsible for statutory reporting which includes the review and finalization of audited financial accounts, compliance with relevant tax and related regulations, and ensure submission and filling are completed in timely for all entities – aligned with USGAAP and local GAAP(s). Responsible for regular management reporting, which includes the monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Focal point between the parent company and Fontis Energy for all finance-related matters. To advise, improve, and ensure compliance with related financial and accounts internal, controls, system and processes, directives and procedures and automation of reports. To report and monitor collections, manage working capital requirements including cash management, payables and capital expenditure. Direct the formulation and development of the business plan and budget, financial projection and cashflow projection to support the development of short-term initiative and long strategy. Oversee all audit, tax functions and internal control operations. Develop the corporate fundraising strategy and manage relationships with partners and investors. Supervise the budget to allocate resources in accordance with company’s policies and procedures. Advise the CEO. on financial management matters. Qualifications Bachelors in finance / accounting / administration / Economic. Preferred – master’s degree in accounting / finance with CPA. Minimum 15 years of Finance and accounting experience with at least 8 years of management experience. Knowledge of Finance ERPs – such as ORACLE, SAP, HFM, etc. Preferably to have been involved in EPR implementations and migrations. Skills: Excellent organizational skills. Strong financial reporting skills. Strong leadership and decision making. Strategically minded. Ability to communicate complex financial information. Ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Excellent verbal / written communication skills and active listener (English/Spanish) High level of adaptability and resilience. Ethical and professional conduct Travel as required by business needs.
