Staff Software Engineer for Embedded Linux

**YOUR ROLE**You´ll participate as a Staff Software Engineer to lead core design and development efforts for the next generation of our Infotainment software stack on Linux and Android platforms. In this role, you’ll take end-to-end ownership of embedded system components—designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable software for our client’s automotive platform.You’ll drive system integration across hardware, vendor, and software teams, while optimizing performance and ensuring compliance with industry standards like ISO 26262. This role also plays a key part in defining testing strategies, leading complex debugging efforts, and championing continuous improvement across the development lifecycle. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential, as you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership, contributing to both the technical vision and detailed documentation that supports successful product releases.**YOUR PROFILE**- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering- 8+ years of experience in **embedded software** development & **Linux**:- **Advanced English** Communication- Experience with **QNX** or equivalent **hypervisor** environment.- Strong programming skills in **C/C++**, with working knowledge of Rust- Proficient in **scripting languages** like Python, Bash, or Perl- Understanding of Android AOSP/AAOSP and Linux display and graphics pipelines, including GPU and DPU driver development and optimization- Experience with Yocto Linux builds and test automation in a TDD environment- Familiarity with Agile development and working in cross-functional teams (product, hardware, systems, validation)**WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT WORKING HERE?**- At Capgemini Engineering, we encourage flexibility in how, when, and where people get their work done, allowing a better work-life balance, and greater empowerment.
