The Ongoing Product Development Engineer is a member of Ford Motor Company's Product Development organization. The OPD Engineer has responsibility for delivering designs consistent with ICA/MCA scale programs. Additionally, the OPD Engineer will have cross-commodity system level responsibility for creating and authoring tolerance charts. Further, the OPD Engineer supports Quality Sprints.The Ongoing Product Development Engineer should possess the following skills and experiences:- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, BSME or BSEE preferred- Engineering Problem Solving; root cause identification and analysis, developing Containment Actions and Permanent Corrective Actions- 2 years of experience in Body Shop build principals such as assembly flow, GD&T and dimensional- Strong understanding of body and / or EDS automotive systems- Ability to establish a system engineering approach to problem solving- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills- Excellent presentation skills- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools for documentation and presentation and WERS- Working in a fast-paced challenging environment.- Ability to travel to support trials- Open to Hybrid Work (Naucalpan)- Lead engineering commodity changes for future minor product launches- Lead Application D&Rs and VO Body Construction teams to develop and author tolerance charts- Support assembly plant with Stop Ships/Stop Builds, Campaigns, and Quality Sprints- Engage technical experts and functional team members for driving resolution and in developing corrective actions to improve product Quality- Make presentations to various levels of upper management (Program reviews, Quality Sprint reviews, Engineering Managers reviews)
