Recognizes and evaluate sales, promotional campaigns, and other opportunities to secure reduced prices. Assesses supplier's products to ensure that they comply with specifications and meet the organization's quality standards.**Job Title: Commodity Buyer****This role in summary**:**Job mission: Buyer shall be the main interface between Whirlpool and Supply Base for the respective commodity. Buyer is expected to manage the total performance of his/her commodity. Buyer is responsible to deliver financial results for the commodity, drive sourcing process and lead supplier selection for current and future businesses. Buyers are also expected to support cross functional stakeholders to achieve operational excellence and product leadership.****Your responsibilities will include**:**Your Responsibilities Will Include:- **Total material cost (productivity) and cash flow targets**- **Creation and maintenance of Multi Year Business Plan at sub-commodity and supplier level**- **Creation of Supplier Data Packs to drive SBRs and negotiations.**- **Drive negotiation with suppliers**- **Monthly Financial Outlook- **Supplier selection (on time, on cost, with quality)**- **Data analytics (total cost based approach).**- **Global benchmark at sub-commodity level.**- **Manage Sourcing Pipeline globally**- **Bundled sourcing packages to generate scale and drive efficiencies- **Contract Management**- **Manage Expiring Contracts**- **Support Commodity Manager in new contract**Minimum requirements**:- **Supply Base Management**- **Owner of Supplier Relationship (where applicable)**- **Communication**- **Escalation**- **Expectations / Performance**- **Total performance management (quality, service, technology, delivery, cost)**- **Rationalization (consolidation)**- **Mitigate risks (financial, compliance, macro-economical, geopolitical, etc).**- **Support cross functional stakeholders such as Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Manufacturing and Supply Chain on a daily basis to achieve operational excellence in current and future businesses.- **Execution of Commodity Strategy.
