This is a fully remote contractor position for a company headquartered in Portland Oregon USA.We're Portland's highest-rated moving service, and we need someone who can take raw content and turn it into scroll-stopping social media gold. No fancy corporate videos here—just solid editing skills and the ability to make smartphone footage look professional enough that affluent homeowners trust us with their $500K+ moves.You'll work with our Content Strategist to polish their raw footage into content that actually converts prospects into customers. You'll take raw footage and photos from our Content Strategist and turn them into polished social media content that stops the scroll and drives business. This role is perfect for someone who loves the technical side of content creation and wants consistent work without the headaches of strategy and client management.**Responsibilities**:- ** Video Editing Excellence** - Edit 3-5 short-form videos weekly (60 seconds or less) for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, plus occasional longer-form content for YouTube and LinkedIn, turning raw smartphone footage into professional-looking content- ** Visual Content Creation** - Design social media graphics, thumbnails, and visual elements using AI tools, stock photos, or original design work that maintains consistent brand identity across all platforms- ** Technical Post-Production** - Add text overlays, branded elements, professional captions, music, and sound design while color correcting and optimizing audio to make mobile footage look like we spent real money on production- ** Platform Optimization** - Adapt content for different platform requirements (square, vertical, horizontal), create engaging thumbnails, and ensure technical specs meet platform standards for maximum reach and engagement- ** Brand Consistency** - Maintain visual brand standards across all content, develop templates and systems for efficient production, and ensure every piece of content reinforces our premium positioning**This role reports directly to the Sales & Admin Manager.****Work Environment**: Fully remote contractor position. Work whenever you want as long as you meet deadlines and turnaround times (typically 48-72 hours for video projects). Communication via Slack and regular check-ins with Content Strategist for project coordination.**Qualifications**:- 2+ years editing social media video content with portfolio proving you can make raw footage look professional- Advanced skills with Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar professional editing software- Proficiency with design tools like Photoshop, Canva, or AI image generators for social media graphics- Experience with professional caption software because auto-captions look terrible- Understanding of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube technical requirements and best practices- Ability to color correct smartphone footage and clean up audio to broadcast standards- Strong sense of pacing, visual storytelling, and what makes content engaging on social platforms- Bonus points: Motion graphics experience, thumbnail design, or service industry content**What we DON'T want**:- Editors who need perfect source footage to create good content- People who take a week to turn around a 60-second social media video- Anyone who thinks flashy effects are more important than clear storytelling- Editors who can't work efficiently with smartphone footage and basic equipment**Compensation**: $500-700 USD monthly contractor rate for a PART-TIME flexible role7xZhU9NJUh
