Remote AI Engineer (100% Work From Home) Location: Remote from Latin America Position Type: Full-time Salary: $4,000 USD/month Schedule: Monday-Friday, business hours in one of the major US time zones Job Overview We’re building a pipeline of talented AI Engineers to join our portfolio of clients. This role combines cutting‑edge AI/ML integration with practical software engineering to deliver production‑ready solutions that automate workflows and enhance user experiences. You’ll work on diverse projects ranging from document processing pipelines, transforming legacy workflows to LLM‑powered personalization systems. Responsibilities AI/ML Development & Integration Build and deploy AI‑driven features using LLMs and external AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock, Mistral) Design and implement backend services integrating retrieval systems, embeddings, and vector databases (pgvector, Pinecone) Develop OCR and computer vision pipelines using YOLO, AWS Textract, and Comprehend Orchestrate AI model calls with proper context management, caching, and prompt engineering Backend Engineering Create Python microservices using FastAPI for ML/AI workloads Implement and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices for enterprise integrations Build robust REST APIs with comprehensive integration testing Develop connectors and adapters for vendor systems and legacy platform integration MLOps & Production Engineering Productionize ML models with containerization (Docker), versioning, and evaluation frameworks Implement batch and async processing for scalable AI services Set up monitoring, logging, and fallback strategies for production AI systems Package and deploy models using AWS services (Lambda, SageMaker, Bedrock, Step Functions) Product Development Prototype and validate AI‑powered features through rapid experimentation Evolve successful experiments into scalable, production‑grade systems Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate product goals into robust AI features Build internal tools and dashboards for model evaluation and monitoring Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies Technical Skills 3-5 years of software engineering experience with both Java (Spring/Hibernate) and Python Strong experience with AI frameworks, particularly LangChain or LlamaIndex Hands‑on experience with LLMs and RAG patterns for retrieval‑based systems Proficiency with ML workflows using NumPy, Pandas, scikit‑learn, or TensorFlow/Keras Experience with both SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) Strong AWS experience (Lambda, S3, SQS/SNS, KMS, Step Functions) Proficiency with Docker, Git, and CI/CD practices Experience with message brokers, streaming systems, and microservice patterns AI/ML Specific Experience Practical experience with prompt engineering and LLM optimization Familiarity with vector databases and embedding systems Experience with OCR pipelines and computer vision applications Knowledge of MLOps practices including MLflow, DVC, model versioning Nice to Have Frontend development skills (React/Vue) for building internal tools Experience building conversational or agentic AI systems Experience with distributed systems and cloud‑native architectures Familiarity with evaluation frameworks and A/B testing for AI features Soft Skills Strong product mindset with ability to balance performance, reliability, and cost Self‑motivated and adaptable with eagerness to embrace new challenges Excellent problem‑solving and analytical thinking abilities Strong communication skills in written English and Spanish Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams Example Projects You’ll Work On Vendor & AI Model Integration: Execute integration projects with external AI providers to automate internal operations and customer‑facing processes AI‑Driven Workflow Automation: Implement LLM‑powered decision‑making and document processing pipelines to streamline validation and screening workflows Personalization Systems: Build AI features that create personalized experiences for thousands of users across multiple regions Legacy System Modernization: Develop adapters and middleware enabling AI‑enhanced services to interoperate with existing systems during migration What We Offer Opportunity to work on cutting‑edge AI/ML technologies in production environments Remote‑first work environment with flexible hours Collaboration with talented engineers and product teams Direct impact on products serving thousands of users Continuous learning and professional development opportunities Application Disclaimer: Please Read Before Proceeding To ensure a fair and efficient hiring process, all applications must meet the mandatory requirements listed in the job description.
