**Job Summary****Responsibilities**:- Understands the products, suggesting ideas and improvements back to group.- Assists with creation, reviewing, and systems-entry of new product specifications, ECNs, tests, procedures, user manuals, submittal drawings, and sales literature.- Creates/modifies mechanical drawings/parts in CAD systems, such as Creo and/or Solid Edge.- Assists with troubleshooting of escalated or re-occurring field issues.- Performs lab testing of products.- Works closely with technicians and junior engineers, providing technical support and guidance.**Requirements**:- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.- 1-3 years of engineering product development or support experience.- Basic working knowledge of electrical and mechanical concepts, products, safety and test-methods.- Ability to follow, create, and organize testing and instructional procedures.- Data-entry systems familiarity - Oracle, Agile, etc.- Basic mechanical CAD tools experience- Solid Edge, Creo, Solid Works.- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve (and prevent) a wide range of problems quickly and methodically.- Ability to safely and successfully operate in an electrical testing lab environment.- Excellent planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills.- Ability to multitask and operate in cross functional global development teams.**About Vertiv****Equal Opportunity Employer
