About The Position

We are looking for an ELS North America Business Unit Controller to join the Electronic Systems Finance team, reporting directly to the Division CFO. This position is based at our office in Aguascalientes (Mexico).


As the ELS North America Business Unit Controller at Marelli, you will act as a true business partner to the North America Electronic Systems Vice President, assuming a strategic role in the overall management of the Electronic Systems Division in the region.


Your Responsibilities Will Be
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy in monthly profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow, with detailed analysis of variations versus budget and previous year.
  • Prepare planning scenarios (budget, forecast, rolling estimates) ensuring global assumptions distributed are correctly applied and making sure local business function understand the targets.
  • Ensure internal controls and financial procedures are in place. Ensure DoA application is applied through the relevant workflow. Deal with local external audit.
  • Support central Finance team in developing and executing evaluation of new business initiatives, like new product or extraordinary operation.
  • Coordinate North America Finance team, promptly replacing turnover, preparing succession plan, granting exposure to the top management.
  • Partner with North America Electronic Systems VP to achieve company goals and relentlessly adjust targets to offset headwinds.

What Qualifications You Will Bring
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree; CPA and/or MBA would be a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in progressively financial leadership roles preferably within the automotive industry and international groups.
  • Experience working with P&L of at least USD 100 million.

Other Skills That We Would Welcome
  • Computer literacy (SAP, Hyperion, Office) and deep knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

  • High capability to manage priorities according to available time and resources.
  • Availability to travel to all the Electronics North America locations (Aguascalientes, Tepotzotlán, Detroit).
