Quality Assurance Team Leader

As a Quality Assurance Team Leader; you will ensure the release of materials, managing laboratory staff and resources to guarantee the specification, according to customer requirements, aiming for zero quality leaks.You will report to the Liquid Paint Quality Control Coordinator.**Key Responsibilities**- Manage personnel to ensure the release of materials, and the necessary resources to carry it out.- Coordinate work plans and strategies to maintain a regular and updated quality system of the company, through the development, updating and implementation of test methods and procedures in compliance and monitoring of applicable standards such as ISO/9001 and IATF16949.- Follow-up on the analysis of new launches.- Coordinate the use of procedures such as defective production reporting and abnormality reporting to define improvement opportunities by identifying material problems and help identify cause through the use of tools.- Focus the group's activities on improvement to minimize quality indicators such as: returns, adjustments/batch of defective productions, working with processes, production and technical laboratory.- Have active participation in production meetings for material tracking and data-driven decision making.**Qualifications**- Chemical, Industrial or related engineer.- Minimum 3 years of experience in Paint and Coatings Quality Assurance.- Intermediate English.- Knowledge of quality management system.- Knowledge of 8Ds, PDCA and KAIZEN problem solving.- Test methods to evaluate automotive, industrial and packaging coatings.- Knowledge of ISO/TS16949, Oracle system, CAIR and related activities.**About us**:**PPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD****The PPG Way**Every single day at PPG:**We partner with customers to create mutual value.****We are "One PPG" to the world.****We trust our people every day, in every way.****We make it happen.****We run it like we own it.****We do better today than yesterday - everyday.**Benefits will be discussed with you by your recruiter during the hiring process.PPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
