You'll support the growth and development of our senior engineering talent and align technology decisions with the company's strategic goals. This is a high-impact position where you'll act as a cross-functional technical leader and advocate for best practices, quality standards, and team collaboration. Key Responsibilities Leading and mentoring Tech Leads, setting and reinforcing technical direction, promoting the adoption of development best practices (clean code, test automation, CI/CD and technical documentation), and supporting architectural decisions, project planning and continuous improvement initiatives across teams. Active participation in internal technical initiatives such as Somnio talks, knowledge hubs, improvement programmes and tech communities (hubs). Driving technical excellence in recruitment processes by empowering senior engineers to contribute as interviewers and ensuring consistent and high‑quality technical evaluation standards. Strategically working closely with the CTO to define and evolve the company's tech roadmap, assess emerging technologies and identify opportunities for innovation that align with the business value proposition. Collaboration with other departments to ensure technology supports product and client needs. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate brings at least 15 years of experience in software development, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position such as Tech Lead, Architect or Head of Engineering. Strong knowledge of software architecture, scalability, security and agile methodologies is essential. We are looking for a highly collaborative and technically solid professional with strong mentoring and communication skills. The role requires a strategic mindset, hands‑on leadership and a passion for developing people and systems. Fluent English is required to collaborate across distributed teams and participate in international recruitment processes. Our Perfect Match 15+ years of experience in software development 3+ years in a technical leadership role (e.g., Tech Lead, Architect, Head of Engineering) 2+ years in a software factory environment Advanced English Level (C1-C2) LATAM based Proven expertise in designing and implementing scalable, secure and maintainable software architectures Strong knowledge of agile methodologies is essential. Client‑Facing Acumen: Experience in a consulting or client‑facing role, with a demonstrated ability to advise senior stakeholders and navigate business challenges. Mentorship & Coaching: A track record of mentoring senior engineers and other leaders, with experience driving performance reviews and elevating team capabilities. Business Insight: Exposure to pre‑sales or business development, such as assisting with technical proposals or engaging in discovery calls. Cloud Expertise: Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud platform such as Google Cloud (GCP), AWS or Azure. Communication: Fluent and articulate English communication skills (both written and spoken) are required to collaborate with our distributed teams and international clients.
