The Credit Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participating in the generation of market commentary and value trade ideas, in coordination with the Trading team. The overall objective of this role is to monitor and evaluate desk risk positions and update the business on market and sector news.**Responsibilities**:- Cover, analyze and comment on issuers/securities as a lead analyst, within assigned coverage area- Generate market commentary and value trade ideas, and produce internal content to update sales/trading on market news and views- Monitor and evaluate desk risk positions and provide commentary on positioning on a real-time basis- Generate trade ideas and positive Profit and Loss (P&L) opportunities- Participate in weekly sales meetings to update sales/trading on market news and current sector views- Review legal documentation associated with capital instruments thoroughly and have an in-depth knowledge of several industry sectors- Develop scenario analyses and securities valuations, anticipating potential restructuring scenarios and resultant capital structures- Conduct company due diligence, including those related to a new issuance on the market and attend company/industry presentations- Develop and maintain regular communication with clients, including periodic travel to client locations- Leading strong governance and controls:- Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure- Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics- Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; and ensure that all team members understand the need to do the same, demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.- Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services; and ensure that all team members understand the need to do the same- Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated to you- Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe**Qualifications**:- 2-5 years of experience in a related role- In-depth understanding of the technical aspects of credit trading and credit fundamentals preferred- Excel/financial modelling skills, relative value analysis, bond market technical, financial statement analysis- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced/trading environment- Proven ability to work independently with limited direction and able pivot quickly in go-to-market strategies- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication**Education**:- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experienceInglés fluido.NOTA: Se abrirán posiciones en CDMX y en otras ciudades, por confirmar.- **Job Family Group**:Institutional Trading- **Job Family**:Trading- **Time Type**:Full timeCiti is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.Qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.View the "**EEO is the Law**" poster.
