About the Role We are seeking a strategic, hands‑on People & Operations Partner to support and enhance our people operations, with a strong emphasis on safety programs . This role combines recruiting, HR operations, employee safety, and cross‑functional partnership. You’ll help build, manage, and improve processes that support our workforce while ensuring our organization maintains and advances safety excellence. In this role, you will manage the full recruitment process, support HR programs (benefits, LOA, workers’ compensation), and lead the development and execution of employee safety protocols. The ideal candidate can speak confidently to their experience designing, implementing, and improving employee safety programs —our top priority. Key Responsibilities Safety Leadership (Most Critical) Assess, build, and improve employee safety programs across the organization. Evaluate and discuss candidates' and stakeholders’ knowledge of safety protocols—what they’ve implemented, built, or improved. Ensure employee safety standards are met: establish safety procedures, run audits, coordinate training/emergency drills, and oversee compliance. Partner with facilities and cross‑functional teams to maintain a proactive safety culture. Recruiting & People Operations Lead the full recruitment cycle: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and pipeline management. Support and improve talent acquisition processes to help scale and strengthen the organization. Provide generalist HR support, including: Benefits administration Leave of Absence (LOA) and ADA/FMLA Workers’ Compensation (WC) case coordination Staff development initiatives Cross‑Functional Partnership & Staff Development Collaborate with leaders, managers, and cross‑functional teams to support business needs. Deliver HR processes with strong customer service and operational excellence. Support performance coaching, development conversations, and employee relations as needed. Process & Program Management Manage and enhance operational workflows tied to recruiting, HR, and safety. Help design and implement business processes that support organizational growth. Identify process bottlenecks, recommend improvements, and track completion. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business (must have) 5+ years of HR experience with exposure to: Recruiting Benefits LOA / FMLA Workers’ Compensation Safety program oversight Employee development Experience working with cross‑functional teams. Strong communication skills — able to eloquently speak to safety issues and HR practices. Ability to manage processes, prioritize business needs, and support multiple stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience in environments with formal safety programs. People management experience or supervisory responsibilities.
