**LEAD DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER (Hybrid)**Location Tlaquepaque, Jal.FORVIA HELLA is a listed, international automotive supplier. With around 37,500 employees at over 125 locations, the Company is active worldwide and generated adjusted sales of € 8.1 billion on a preliminary basis in the fiscal year 2023.**DESCRIPTION**- Responsible to develop the product in **lighting area** according to Automotive and Legal Standards based on requirements and interaction with internal and external partners fulfilling Quality, Costs and Time (QCT).- Leading a local or global development team covering a specific role in lighting with at least **2-year experience in optic development and customer-based interaction.**:**QUALIFICATIONS****DEVELOPMENT PROJECT PLANNING**- Planning the product development process from RFQ phase until End of Process Validation. Monitoring the progress of the project. In the event of deviations from the targets propose and decide about adequate measures.- Ensuring project goals are accomplished within the given Quality, Costs, Time (QCT) constraints fulfilling internal and external requirements (e.g., legal, customer and internal, functional safety).- Verifying the technical and commercial targets and highlighting options for target fulfillment.- Creating appropriate schedules taking into account the overall schedule for a development project, including Design Readiness, validation and maturity documentation.**PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT**:- Analyzing, evaluating and negotiating functional internal and external requirements, as stated by customer, legal restrictions, functional safety or HELLA internal standards or guidelines, and transfer them into the product specification, development and verification strategy.- Creating domain specific concepts considering the constrains of overall System Design and the needs of the other domains.- Realizing a robust product and process design by simulations, calculations, a- and b-samples and ensuring implementation of design optimizations of components, groups or systems depending on the results.- Validating the technical concepts with first parts until the final product (e.g., process parameters) is confirmed and prepare the homologation process of the product.- Analyzing and interpreting the results from verification and validation and defining the appropriate measure as needed.**LEADERSHIP (functional leadership)**:- Steering functions & domains via Product Development Team meetings.- Leading of the employees in the optic development team involved on project under development.- Guiding, instructing and supporting employees in function-related tasks.Letty CastañedaHR LightingTalent Attraction
