Services include the design, implementation, and management of corporate/enterprise wired and wireless networks. Sometimes you’ll go it alone and sometimes you’ll be a member of a team, but you’ll always be supported via the larger managed services team. You may not know it all but must show a desire to take on new technologies and have the ability to do so in a quick and efficient manner.We don’t want to waste your time and would hope you’d feel the same about us so only those with experience leading successful networking projects on a medium to large-scale need apply.**Where you will make an impact**- Configure new and production network devices including L2 and L3 switches, routers, WAPs, firewalls, and VPNs- Assist in the design of LAN, WAN, and wireless networks- Assist with the physical installation of network equipment- Remote and onsite tier 2 and tier 3 diagnosis and resolution of network related issues- Respond to emergency network outages- Assist with internet circuit turnups- Perform routine network device firmware and software updates- Perform routing network device configuration backups- Monitor network health, stability, performance, utilization, throughput, security, and latency- Write network infrastructure assessment reports- Create and maintain detailed network documentation, diagrams, and SOPs- Assume a lead technical role on project tasks- Provide assistance and training to colleagues- Identify opportunities to enhance & improve existing technologies within a network environment- Evaluate and recommend new network technologies and products- Work with vendors, contractors, consultants, project managers, IT managers, and fellow engineers in the implementation of LAN, WAN, and wireless networks and technologies- Assists with proposals, quotes, SOWs, vendor, and product selection- Provide regular updates to project and IT managers- Travel to client sites, dress and interact professionally with clients, and work at client sites when necessary. A valid driver’s license is required- Possibly work after normal business hours, overnight, or weekends as needed by the business or client- Performing other duties as assigned.**What you will bring**- History of leading successful networking projects in medium to large enterprises- Bachelor’s degree in IT field or equivalent formal coursework or knowledge in relevant IT field- 5+ years of experience working within an IT department servicing corporate and enterprise networks- Current Cisco CCNA certification or similar certification is required.- A firm understanding of TCP/IP and associated protocols such as DNS, DHCP, 802.1Q, NAT, PAT, SNMP, SYSLOG, OSPF, and BGP- Experience configuring, managing, and diagnosing DNS solution- Experience configuring, managing, and diagnosing LAN, WAN, and wireless networks and network equipment such as L2 and L3 switching, WAPs, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
