**_Puebla_**_, _**_Mexico_**_- ****The Licensing specialist will assist all areas of Data Center and/or IT managing licenses and maintenance. The position will require evaluating license consumption and surfacing risk or waste to the appropriate managers as well as recommending contract adjustments based on our consumption methods and history. Additionally, this role will work with the maintenance team and managers to ensure maintenance renewals quoted and executed in a timely manner.**Responsabilities**- Responsible for organizing and obtaining quotes for all hardware and software maintenance contracts and renewals for ongoing manufacturer or third-party support from Converge internal Maintenance teams and vendors, when required. Working with Engineering managers to ensure hardware on contract is in productive use and is under the correct maintenance terms (e.g. 24x7, 8x5 Next Business Day, etc).Responsible to ensure vendor software licensing consumption compliance for identified vendors. This includes working with vendors and designated engineering resources to ensure we are consuming licenses properly, minimizing our risk, and avoiding waste. This role will also works closely with product development to ensure licensing costs are accurately represented in the materials used to build our offerings.- Maintains a list of licenses that are in use, by vendor, location, and device.- Works within CMS/CMDB to validate device based licenses and maintenance.- Works with accounting to ensure our license counts align to vendor invoicing and customer billing.- Works with vendors and/or practice leads to understand the available programs and can recommend the best way to consume licenses.- Identifies and surfaces waste and risk in the environment.- Review and propose contract standardization by vendors based on discovery of cost savings, consolidation, potential contract variances, etc.- Works with the Software, Vendor Alliance, and Maintenance teams to ensure hardware and software are under support.- Understand the terms and conditions of those licenses and conditions of existing contractual programs for consumption reporting and true-ups.- Works with the Engineering team to report utility license counts to vendors or distribution when required.- Maintains an updated list of vendor contracts to assist with any licensing efforts.- Works with Automation team to bulk extract licenses or counts.- Participates in software audits as the point person gathering related details or producing artifacts from pervious efforts.- Can run table-top audit exercises to ensure we are compliant with licensing.- Produce monthly license consumption reports to the business.- Create Converge Internal Investment Requests for internal approvals and signatures when required.**Job Qualifications**- 3+ years of operations or engineering experience within a data center environment.- 3+ years of operations or engineering experience within a service provider or managed services organization.- Must be organized and capable tracking several in-flight efforts.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Basic understanding of technologies used in the Data Center and their function.- Willingness to occasionally travel to one of Converge offices for team meetings, audit meetings, or desktop exercises.- Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.- Self-motivated and able to work efficiently and effectively with a team or independently.- Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen test.- experience with any manufacturer software licensing or maintenance programs.Education- Bachelor’s Degree / computer science / information technology field.- Education Substitute: Assoc. w/6yrs experience or HS w/8yrs experience.Experience: 4 years of job-related experience in Information technology.**Skills**- Experience with multi-tenant environments highly desired.- Understanding of the IBM Software maintenance and programs supporting IBM hardware.- Fluent English language skills required: verbal and written communication.- Self-motivated and disciplined.- Understanding of Microsoft licensing programs and maintenance.***:**Benefits**:Healthcare, dental, life insurance, savings fund, Christmas bonus, grocery bonus, annual bonus**PTOs**:Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and paid leaves**Save on commute**:Paid office parking**Discount Programs**:Medical related discounts**Prime location**:In the heart of Puebla, with views of Popocatepetl volcano, restaurants and amenities close by**Sponsored Events**:Team social events, Holiday dinner**Sport Activity**:Join your colleagues in various sport activities in the area**Eat & Drink**:Enjoy a kitchen stocked with drinks, coffee, and snacks free of charge
