Toolmaker

The Toolmaker is responsible for the manufacture of spare parts for molds and the repair of injection and transfer molds, as well as the tooling required for other equipment and components in the Assembly areas. General Activities- Troubleshoot injection and transfer molds.- Assemble and disassemble molds for preventive and/or corrective maintenance.- Manufacture spare parts for all injection and transfer molds.- Analyze molds to find root cause of problems.- Make estimates for mold repair.- Fill out work orders with the activities performed.- In addition; the above described activities on tooling for final assembly.- Maintains up to date work standards and reports and takes action to resolve non-compliance.- Cutting materials (metals and plastics)- Lathe, Square and Grind metals and/or plastics.- Manufacture components to assemble and/or fabricate fixtures.- Fill out work order with activities performed.- Operation of conventional equipment- Operate CNC equipment- Ensure "integrity" of equipment in its components and safety element; in addition to its complete functional parts.- Operation of measuring equipment- Blueprint reading (GD&T)KnowledgeTechnical career in Machines and Tools. Knowledge in EDM and CNC equipment. Office software.

Measuring instruments. Additional requirements- Handling of injection and transfer molds (assembly and disassembly), milling machine, grinding machine, lathe, metal cutting machine (band saw), heat treatment furnace, Vernier, micrometer, height gauges. CNC and measuring equipment- Works mostly standing- Loads heavy objects- Exposed to noise.- Subject to possible shift changes.
